Welcome to 7th Grade Reading Language Arts!

I am thrilled to welcome you to another wonderful school year at Moody Middle School! This marks my tenth year in education and my fifth year right here as part of our incredible Bearcat family. I deeply value the rich educational opportunities provided here at Moody, and I am proud to support campus and district policies that keep our school safe, supportive, and focused on student growth.


My Heart for Teaching
My love for education runs deep, largely inspired by my dad. Whenever anyone would ask him how he was doing, he would always answer, "I'm growing and learning every day." That lifelong curiosity shaped who I am today, and it is my greatest hope to pass that same passion for learning on to every student whose life I have the privilege of touching.

Learning for the Real World
In our classroom, learning goes far beyond standard daily lessons. My goal is to provide students with a hands-on educational experience that connects reading, writing, listening, and speaking directly to the real world.

Above all, we focus heavily on critical thinking.  Developing a sharp, analytical mind paves the path toward success in the future jobs and opportunities awaiting our students. By learning to evaluate information, express original ideas, and communicate effectively, our students build confidence for life beyond the classroom.

I strongly believe that student success is built on well-rounded, consistent communication between home and school. I am fully committed to partnering with both my students and their families every step of the way. When we work together as a team, our Bearcats truly thrive!

  • Degrees: Mass Communication & Psychology

 

Beyond the Classroom
When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me painting, working out in the garden, or spending quality time with my family—including both the two-legged and four-legged varieties!

I am looking forward to a fantastic year of growth, discovery, and strong partnership.
