5th Grade English
Welcome to my Website!! I am Ms. Towns, the 5th Grade English teacher. This is my fourth year in Moody ISD. I am so excited to teach this years group of students. I have posted my tutorials, schedule, syllabus, and how to best communicate with me. If you ever need to reach out to me or have questions, then please do not hesitate. I am happy to help and answer any questions that I can.
I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 2022. I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Early childhood (EC) - 6 and Special education (SPED) EC-12. Teaching has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I am so glad to get to pursue that dream here in Moody.

- First day of School is August 11, 2025!
The ELAR homework is reading an AR book for 20 minutes every night. Then the student must fill out the Reading log based on what was read that night. This is part of the 5th grade "homework for life" that gets sent home every 3 weeks.
The reading expectation is to get the student reading, but also so that they can take AR tests. There will be a grade for AR every 6 - weeks.
