Football Sweeps Bruceville-Eddy

The 7th Grade team came to play in the Rivalry game against Bruceville Eddy. The final score ended up being 40 to 0 with up to 4 players scoring touchdowns, lead by Anthony Medrano and Chance McCarthy. The defense had several turnovers and had their first shut out of the season, anchored by Mario Salas. Theses kids have an awesome competitive spirit and we are looking forward to next week! Go Bearcats!
In the 8th grade game, Bruceville-Eddy jumped out early to a lead, but the Bearcats never backed down, and led at the half. Back and forth, the game came down to the 4th quarter. The Eagles scored to take the lead with just over a minute left in the game, but Quarterback Ryder Hohhertz led the Bearcats on a touchdown drive that left just 11 seconds on the clock. The Bearcats held off the final attempt and scored a 32-28 victory over our rivals from down the road.
The starting offensive line who consisted of Jacob McNiel, Wyatt Saunders, Kaden Kollaja, Juvenal Sanchez, and Malachi Reynolds played a terrific game, that led to a solid offensive show from the Bearcats.
If you see a middle school football player this week, give them props on a job well done!
